This is Top Gear's take on the SSC Ultimate Aero (Guinness Fastest Production Car in the World @ 256.18 mph).SSC just wanted to prove the world that the Ultimate Aero doesn't need a professional driver to hit 250+ mph, and to show how easy it can be to drive at top speed. Opel, a division of General Motors (GM), has unveiled Flextreme, an eco-friendly concept car designed to emit less than 40 grams per kilometer of carbon dioxide. The electric vehicle, which debuted at the International Motor Show (IAA) in Frankfurt, Germany, is built upon E-Flex, GM's electric vehicle architecture, and uses a lithium-ion battery that can run up to 55 kilometers (km) at a time. Flextreme also incorporates versatile storage space via its rear-hinged back doors, transparent roof, tailgate doors and luggage compartment located beneath the vehicle's floor. Prior to its European debut in Frankfurt, the Flextreme was presented at the Detroit Motor Show in January 2007, with a 1.0-liter, three-cylinder turbo gasoline engine that can run on E85, and then again at the Shanghai Motor Show in April 2007, as an electric concept car with hydrogen fuel cell propulsion. The concept car presented in Frankfurt contains two engines: a battery-operated engine and a 1.3-liter CDTI diesel engine.

Since it was first launched in 1982, 10 million Corsa models have been sold throughout Europe and over 18 million worldwide. Corsa was the best-selling car in its class in Germany from 1995 to 2001. Opel also celebrates the 20th anniversary of its Corsa GSi, presented for the first time at the 1987 Frankfurt Motor Show. The new Corsa GSi, presented at the 2007 Frankfurt Motor Show, is powered by a 150 hp turbo gasoline engine, can reach a top speed of 210 km/h, and drives from zero to 100 km/h in 8.1 seconds.
