Porsche will be unveiling a sporting new version of the popular Caynenne S model called the GTS at the Fankfurt Motor Show next week. With the latest sales figures in North American putting the Cayenne up 45% this year, there's no doubt Porsche is keen to offer more selection. However, despite the original SUV mantra of off-road prowess, this GTS model seems to be dressed with urban street wear. A lowered suspension, 21-inch multi-spoke wheels, Cayenne Turbo body kit and special GTS Red and Nordic Gold Metallic paint scheme define the look. But the sporty package isn't just for looks.

Nissan made its first entry into the small crossover SUV market by revealing the 2008 Nissan Rogue at the 2007 North American International Auto Show in Detroit. The vehicle will be available in two models, Rogue 2 and Rogue SL. Compared to other small crossover SUVs, Nissan officials said the Rogue is the longest in its class, boasting a 105.9-inch wheelbase and 182.9-inch overall length, making the vehicle appear small on the outside with ample interior room. The Rogue is scheduled to go on sale in September 2007.

Nissan debuted the Bevel concept SUV at the 2007 NAIAS in Detroit. The concept was conceived at Nissan Design America and is an exploration of the future of the sport utility vehicle. The Bevel is a dynamic, multi-purpose SUV that emphasizes passenger needs and comfort. Among the special features offered in the Bevel concept are a passenger side rear-hinged door for easy loading and a front passenger seat that includes a 360-degree pet leash swivel connection point.

MINI presents its new range with the new MINI Cooper, Cooper S but also a new variant of the MINI Convertible with the new MINI Convertible Sidewalk. Since the launch of the MINI Convertible, 26,000 units have been sold in the US, making it the largest market for MINI, apart from Great Britain. The MINI Convertible Sidewalk will be available from mid-April. During the sixth year of the model cycle of the MINI Cooper, demand for the MINI remained as strong as in the years before with a total of 39,000 MINI vehicles delivered to American customers, 52 per cent of which were MINI Cooper S models.
